Name of Institution



It is the only Government Institution Training Ophthalmic Nurses in Tanzania established in the year 1978. Recently, the school has established a new course on CLINICAL OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT.

Is within KCMC hospital compound, located five kilometers from Moshi town centre. Who are illegible candidates? A health care worker trained at a certificate or Diploma level as Nurse/ Clinical assistant/Officers, Assistant Medical Officer or Medical Officers. How is the course organized? The course is taught through seven modules as follows:-

The course has two weeks block study, eight weeks clinical practice and two weeks community field/outreach. How to apply:-

When do we admit candidates?

The course is conducted four times a year i.e. January, April, July and September. Under special circumstances the school may offer the course upon your request if the employer/stake holder have special request of supporting more than five to ten candidates at once.

Is it affordable?

The school has an experience of training self sponsored candidates since its inception. The first batch started on September 2015.
